Kohl’s DE&I Black History Month 2023
Objective: To build the collection while authentically capturing the essence of Black History Month. I aimed to create designs that were not only positive and impactful, but also truly celebratory. All my work strives to ensure that when people see it in-store and online, they feel seen, appreciated, respected, and proud.
Inspiration: The people. Each design was inspired by the diverse stories, experiences, and cultures that make up the community.
Role: Co-Concept Designer, Art Director, and Artist
My responsibilities included creating and presenting art and color direction, overseeing the creation of artwork, and completing production files. I also managed First Insights, a process for design reviews that involved preparing and sharing surveys, analyzing feedback, and utilizing the results to ensure our collections were both authentic and meaningful.
